80-20+ is a nonprofit that helps Greater Pittsburgh residents understand how government affects our everyday lives and freedoms. It also tells how government actually works so Pittsburghers can check the record themselves.
Our mission
80-20+’s primary purpose is to promote the common good and general welfare of Pennsylvania residents. We seek to do this by educating PA residents on the constitutional principles of equality, liberty, and self-government and providing access to public education on the impact of local and state governmental decisions on individual rights and freedoms. As part of this effort, we will also seek to inform elected and appointed officials of the impact of their decisions on individual rights freedoms and advocate points of views on issues of public concern through public education.
Funding & transparency
80-20+ is organized as a 501(c)(4) social welfare nonprofit. Contributions to 80-20+ are not tax-deductible. We are affiliated with, but legally separate from, a political action committee that engages in electoral advocacy.
